Our Centerpiece

“Sherbert” is our custom-made, 1,500-gallon pot still imported from Frilli, an Italian still manufacturer for over 100 years. It is the first still Frilli has ever shipped to the US. It’s also also one of the largest stills housed in a craft distillery, producing 1,000 barrels of whiskey a year. Learn more.

Our Philosophy

In an era of mass production, cost reduction and profit maximization, one important thing is lost: quality. We’re proving that high-quality manufacturing in Detroit is still alive. In distillation, this means selecting the best ingredients, distilling in small batches. Learn more.

About Valentine Distilling

Clean & Green Spirit Production

Valentine is one of the few microdistilleries proactively investing in green technology to help reduce the environmental burden of craft spirit production. We’re in the first year of a 10-year climate sustainability initiative. The first phase focuses on reduction, recycling, and reuse. The next phase will center around installing energy generating systems (wind / solar). To date:

  • We’ve installed a water processing system that will save us nearly 2,000 gallons of water per day.

  • We’ve installed energy efficient LED lights throughout the 20,000 sq. ft. distillery production facility.

  • We’ve Launched the farm-bottle-farm program – we ship our spent grains to local farmers for cattle feed.
